Center for Inquiry - Florida Conference: The Evolution of Humanism

The Center for Inquiry - Florida announces its inaugural event "The Evolution of Humanism: Entering a New Epoch". This conference, taking place at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center at 12600 Roosevelt Blvd in St. Petersburg, Florida from February 7-9, 2003, will include prominent speakers from the secular humanist and skeptic movements. Among the speakers are Phillip and Marjorie Appleman, Robert Steiner, Bill Cooke, Paul Kurtz, Debbie Roffman, sex educator, Massimo Pigliucci, intelligent design opponent and Sally Roesch Wagner.

Topics to be highlighted at this event will be Darwin 101--in celebration of the upcoming Darwin Day in February--The Future of Reason, Sex and Sensibility, Raising Independent Thinkers, and Freethinking Women. On display at the conference will be original work on loan from Don Addis, editorial satirist.

The Center For Inquiry is a 501(c)(3) educational, non-profit, transnational organization, which promotes science, reason and free inquiry in all areas of human endeavor.
